Castlewood Canyon:

Castlewood Canyon State Park, lying about half-way between
Denver and Colorado Springs, is a wonderful hidden climbing
area that lies east of Interstate 25. The canyon, floored by Cherry
Creek, is rimmed by 50-foot-high cliffs on both its east and west
sides. These small cliffs offer lots of climbing routes, both lead
routes where the climber ascends from bottom to top and top-
rope routes where a rope is threaded though permanent anchors
installed along the cliff tops.

We invite you to come experience rock climbing at Castlewood. It’s
fun, safe, and challenging. The park also offers lots of great
hiking on its trails, as well as picnicking and nature study. See you
out there!
