The Garden of the Gods, a spectacular Colorado Springs city
park, not only offers stunning scenery but also some of the best
climbing adventures found in Colorado. Several huge sandstone
formations, uplifted along the edge of the soaring Rocky
Mountains and Pikes Peak, give rock climbers lots of climbing
routes to experience. The Garden’s cliffs, fins, and pinnacles,
some over 300 feet high, are laced with routes that are mostly
protected by permanent bolts and drilled pitons.
The Garden of the Gods, located ten minutes from downtown
Colorado Springs and an hour south of Denver, is simply one of
the best and most unique climbing venues anywhere. Here you
can climb easy beginner lines up slabs or test your finger and arm
strength on vertical rock faces. Other spectacular routes are
